Orchid Rhyncholaeliocattleya Memoria Charles Mitamura, 'Kaleidoscope'

Rhyncholaeliocattleya Memoria Charles Mitamura is a Cattleya alliance hybrid registered by S. Mitamura in 1994, originated by Carmela, crossing Cattleya Hawaiian Fantasy with Rhyncholaeliocattleya Toshie Aoki. Its lineage is dominated by classic large-flowered Cattleya species, led by Cattleya dowiana (about 34.5%), Cattleya warscewiczii (15%), and Cattleya mossiae (9.4%),  the ancestry behind this grex’s signature rich, saturated color and full classic form. The ‘Kaleidoscope’ cultivar highlights that dowiana-driven color intensity with vivid, multi-toned blooms. Like most Cattleya hybrids, it grows best with bright light, intermediate-to-warm temperatures, good airflow, and a drying period between waterings to encourage strong flowering.
