Orchid Rhyncholaeliocattleya Chomthong Delight ‘Yellow Watermelon’

Rhyncholaeliocattleya Chomthong Delight ‘Yellow Watermelon’ is a Cattleya alliance hybrid originated by S. Sudchuen in 2007, a cross of Rlc. Haadyai Delight × Rlc. Chunyeah.  True to its playful cultivar name, the ‘Yellow Watermelon’ selection produces bright, butter-yellow flowers with rich watermelon-red markings on the lip,  creating vivid contrast against the sunny petals and sepals. It’s a vigorous grower and prolific, fragrant bloomer that consistently flowers off each new growth, with blooms reaching at least 5-7 inches in diameter,  making it a standout among large yellow Cattleya hybrids. As with most Cattleya alliance hybrids, it grows best with bright indirect light, intermediate-to-warm temperatures, good airflow, and a drying period between waterings to support strong, repeat blooming.
