Anthurium 'King of Spades' (HU)

Anthurium 'King of Spades' is a hybrid cultivar prized for its large, velvet-textured, heart-to-spade-shaped leaves and striking silver venation. These seedlings were imported directly from the nursery of Haji Ulih (HU) in Indonesia. these are as authentic as they come, as many of our products are.

KOS' exact parentage isn't formally documented, but it's widely believed to descend from a cross involving Anthurium crystallinum and Anthurium magnificum, with some growers also pointing to Anthurium forgetii in the mix, contributing the closed sinus seen in certain clones. From crystallinum it inherits its plush texture and pronounced silver veining, while magnificum lends its large size and squared, winged petioles.
