Anthurium crystallinum ‘Fairchild’ or ‘FTG’, is one of the most talked-about crystallinum clones in the collector world. This plant appeared in the collection of Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden in Miami several decades ago, and to this day no documentation of its acquisition or provenance exists in the garden’s database. It’s widely suspected to be a hybrid rather than a pure crystallinum, possibly crossed with A. magnificum, but its true identity remains one of the hobby’s great mysteries. This plant is a clone from a much larger plant we purchased from Fairchild.
DocBlock F2 plants are prized for thick, velvety foliage, bold contrast veining, and dramatic emergent colors in shades of burgundy, red, violet, and purple that mature to deep green, and are intentionally bred for strength and resilience.
