Alocasia Longiloba Variegated

Alocasia longiloba variegated is a cultivar native to the humid forests of Southeast Asia, with wild origins spanning Borneo, Java, and Singapore, it was first formally described in 1856 and entered cultivation through Victorian-era nurseries and 19th-century botanical collectors. It is the backbone of some of the hobby’s most iconic hybrids, including Alocasia ‘Amazonica’ and ‘Polly,’ both of which trace directly back to the longiloba ‘Watsoniana’ cultivar. To grow one is to hold a piece of living horticultural history.
