It's prized in cultivation for its elongated, ultra velvety black leaves with golden to reddish veins. On the seed side, that Canal ecotype pedigree is paired with a variegated papillilaminum × portillea mother, whose own foliage carries strong sectoral variegation.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eThis particular seedling doesn't currently show signs of variegation itself.
